Michelle Lynn Monaghan Bio

Michelle Lynn Monaghan (born March 23 1975) is an American actress. Her leading roles include Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005) and Gone Baby Gone (2008). She also appeared in for Gone Baby Gone (2008), Made of Honor (2008) and Trucker (2008). Source Code (2011), Pixels (2015) and Patriots Day (2016). She played Julia Meade, the main character in Mission: Imperfible's action-spy show Mission: Impossible (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011), Mission: Impossible Fallout (2018) has been praised. Monaghan also starred in True Detective's first season (2014) as Maggie Hart. She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award, Best Supporting Actress. She was also Sarah Lane on the drama series The Path (2016-18). Monaghan was the character Eva Geller on the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah. The show was cancelled after only one season. Monaghan was the daughter of Sharon Hammel and Robert Monaghan (a factory worker) and was born in Winthrop, Iowa. Monaghan has two brothers older than her, Bob and John. Monaghan is of Irish and German roots, and was raised Catholic.She graduated from East Buchanan High School in 1994. After graduation, she moved to Chicago to pursue journalism studies and began modeling. She has modelled in Milan and Tokyo, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and the United States. There was only one semester left to complete her journalism education in 1999, she left for New York to pursue an acting career. Prior to becoming an actor, she was model and featured in a variety of catalogs and magazines. Monaghan was recognized for two television roles as an actress in Young Americans' episodes in 2000. Her second appearance on television was on Law & Order: Special Victims Unified , in "Consent" that first aired on the 19th of January 2001. In addition, she made her first big screen appearance in Perfume in 2001 as Henrietta. In 2002, she appeared again playing a supporting character in Unfaithful starring Richard Gere & Diane Lane.
