Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sfer is an American actress.
She is well-known for her appearances on American daytime TV, frequent guest
appearances, and made-for TV films. Sofer was recognized with an Daytime Emmy
Award by CBS in 1995 for her performance as Lois Cerullo, the role she played
in the soap-opera General Hospital. Quinn Fuller has been her role on CBS's
soap show The Bold and The Beautiful since 2013. Sofer was born in Arcadia
(California) to Susan Sofer and Martin Sofer. Martin Sofer is a Conservative
Rabbi. After the divorce of her parents the family relocated to Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania. In 1970, Sofer emigrated with her brother David and father to
Teaneck in New Jersey. At the time, however, Sofer was just 5 years old, they
resided in Western Pennsylvania. They resided in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where
her father directed the Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She went on to attend the
Frisch School, a coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high school in Paramus,
New Jersey. Sofer lived in North Bergen, New Jersey which was where her father
served as rabbi of synagogue Temple Beth El. After graduation from North Bergen
High School in 1998, she continued her education at Montclair State College.
Sofer appeared as Lois Marie Cerullo for the first time on General Hospital.
Her first appearance was in 1993, as a band manager. Her first major role was
in the role of Rocky McKenzie in the daytime soap show Loving (1988-91). Her
most famous role is her appearance on General Hospital as Lois Cerullo
(December 15, 1993 - September 24 1996). Later, she was a guest star on the
show (February 7-17 1997 from September 30th through October 2nd 1997). Her
portrayal of the comical Lois won Sofer an award. Daytime Emmy Award in 1995
for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Sofer was asked to be a
part of CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful in the newly created role as
Quinn Fuller. Her first episode aired July 12. Sofer has appeared as a guest as
a cast member or guest in a variety of prominent prime-time television showslike
Seinfeld and Melrose Place. She also appeared on The Chronicle, Ed and Friends.
Her first episode aired on the 12th of July.
